No More Poverty Helps Sponsor Hands for Hope Annual Starlight Jazz Serenade Fundraiser


Michael Omidi and Julian Omidi, co-founders of the charity No More Poverty, are excited to support Hands for Hope and their annual “Starlight Jazz Serenade" at the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.

Hands for Hope is hosting its annual premiere fundraising event, the “Starlight Jazz Serenade” and No More Poverty co-founders Julian Omidi and Dr. Michael Omidi are lending their sponsorship to the event. This special evening will feature a silent auction, followed by a jazz concert showcasing another outstanding line up of incredible award winning jazz musicians and entertainers. The event will take place on Friday, March 1, 2013 at the Television Academy of Arts and Sciences in North Hollywood. “Hands for Hope (a non-profit 501(c)3 organization) offers underserved children and their parents the opportunity to participate in enriching programs at in order to both further the child’s education and teach the parents valuable life and job skills,” says No More Poverty co-founder Julian Omidi. “We, at No More Poverty, are thrilled to sponsor such a beneficial organization, and we are very excited about the upcoming ‘Starlight Jazz Serenade,’ which will be a beautiful event.”
Hands for Hope is a program that offers educational resources for underserved youth in North Hollywood, California and surrounding San Fernando Valley areas. The programs provide at-risk kids and their single parents with free workshops and free after-school classes designed to provide supplementary scholastic support, as well as financial planning guidance and job search assistance. No More Poverty has been an avid supporter of the Hands for Hope organization for several months.
“Hands for Hope is dedicated to broadening horizons, developing talents, promoting self-esteem and instilling life-preparation skills by extending a hand of hope to at-risk youth and single-parent families through safe, quality after school programs,” this is our mission according to Lydia Floyd, Founder and Executive Director of Hands for Hope, “It is through our committed ‘Starlight Jazz Serenade’ sponsors that Hands for Hope is able to continue providing free programs that successfully impact the lives of children, and offer resources to their parents.”
No More Poverty (http://www.nmp.org) is a not-for-profit charity organization (with a pending 501(c)3 application) founded by brothers Michael Omidi, M.D. and Julian Omidi. The organization seeks to end poverty at home and abroad by supporting the efforts of like-minded charities and agencies. Current efforts are focused on increasing awareness of and donations to charities already doing great work to address poverty and its staggering effects throughout the world.
