EUROPE/BOOKINGS: |TEMA| Eivind Aarset - Michele Rabbia - Gianluca Petrella. New album ECM & Tour

Michele Rabbia / Eivind Aarset / Gianluca Petrella New album ECM & European Tour Availability: October 2-6 , December 3-20, 2019 on request 2020   Michele Rabbia, Gianluca Petrella, Eivind Aarset“Lost River”Lost Riveris an evocative post-ambient, richly textured sonic event, and one of the outstanding beyond-category recordings of recent ECM history. Drummer Michele Rabbia and guitarist Eivind Aarset had played many duo concerts, and Rabbia had also worked with trombonist Gianluca Petrella in other contexts, but this recording marks a premiere for the trio.Spontaneously improvised for the most part, and with mysterious detail flowering inside its soundscapes, Lost Riverkeeps revealing new forms. Rabbia’s drumming is freely creative and propulsive, and enhanced through his use of electronics. Aarset’s flowing playing will delight listeners who have enjoyed his Dream Logicproject and his contribution to recordings with Nils Petter Molvӕr, Tigran Hamasyan, Andy Sheppard and others. Petrella’s role as a principal instrumental voice will surprise those who know him only as a great “jazz” soloist with Enrico Rava and Giovanni Guidi; his broad range is very well deployed in Manfred Eicher’s widescreen production in this recording, made in Udine in January 2018    Release date - June, 2019

NORWAY/SWEDEN/BRAZIL/MOZAMBIQUE: Concert offer 2019 🎸 World/Jazz/Rock from Scandinavia, Brasil, Mozambique 🎶

After 3 years, 120 international concerts and with 2 critically acclaimed albums in their luggage, FREEDOMS TRIO is preparing for new tours in 2019.

Hi and happy new musical year !! FREEDOMS TRIO is a 'world jazz rock' group uniting three musicians from three continents. Three outstanding artists on their respective instruments.  Under the direction of acoustic guitarist Steinar Aadnekvam, originally from Bergen - Norway, together with bassist Rubem Farias, from Salvador da Bahia - Brasil, and drummer / singer Deodato Siquir, from Maputo - Mozambique, FREEDOMS TRIO creates an expression that is completely unique. Their music is in an Afro Jazz Rock idiom, firmly footed in the present and with close, warm audience contact in lively concert experiences with appeal to a broad range of listeners. FREEDOMS TRIO is currently planning concerts for the summer and fall of 2019, and upon request for other periods. The band is also available for workshops. The band is based in Stockholm, Sweden. Don't miss this exciting and inspiring music group. >>> Contact steinarguitar@gmail.com for dialogue and booking. With best regards, Steinar Aadnekvam - www.freedomstrio.com

"Mr. Aadnekvam dominates the rarefied space afforded to top-flight virtuoso guitarists. This music is, however, also informed by thunderous rumble of bass and drums, all of which makes it a uniquely expressive group.” - World Music Report (Canada) "Familiar in its aesthetic-groove-minded world-jazz but rare in the quality of the musicianship." - Jazztimes (USA) "Young genius, bursting with creativity." - Jazz Podium Magazine (Germany)   "Their music is both complex and joyful, full of passion and energy. Not only do you hear amazing guitar playing from Steinar Aadnekvam, but equal musicianship from drummer Deodato Siquir and bassist Rubem Farias - plus they have a natural synergy which can be rare, especially when the musicians are so accomplished individually. People should hear Freedoms Trio. Gives you hope." - Robben Ford (American guitar legend)
