2014 Dubai Jazz Festival Takes Off

Also in the Jazz Legends line-up are Al Foster, Billy Childs, Sean Jones, Kirk Lightsey, Wallace Roney and Tony Lakatos.

Carlton is likely the name that will get the most fans of the genre fishing out their wallets. With four Grammys (and 19 nominations), the guitarist — known as Mr 335 thanks to his favourite guitar, the 1968 Gibson ES-335 — started out as a session musician for the likes of Michael Jackson and Steely Dan before finding success on his own with albums such as 1985’s Alone/But Never Alone. Dubai: the best of italian jazz from 18 to 22 february

The best of Italian jazz comes to Dubai. The Italian Embassy in the United Arab Emirates, in collaboration with Suoni Italiani, Puglia Sounds and Salini Costruttori Dubai has organised the Italian Jazz Garden to run from 18 to 22 February, as part of the 10th Skywards Dubai International Jazz Festival.
Headliners are to include: the Nicola Conte Jazz Combo, the Gaetano Partipilo Quintet, the Alice Ricciardi Quartet, the Mezzotono Quintet and the Luca Mannutza/Max Ionata Duo.
