WHAT:Blue Note Jazz Club New York is proud to announce an unprecedented month-long residency this Fall with Robert Glasper. Running October 2-28, 2018, the 24 night, 48 show residency will bring some of the most talented names in contemporary music to the Blue Note stage, with groups featuring: Bilal, Terrace Martin, Christian McBride, Christian Scott aTunde Adujah, Nicholas Payton, Chris Dave, Taylor McFerrin, Derrick Hodge, Kendrick Scott, Michael Moreno, Burniss Travis, Walter Smith, Rodney Green, and Justin Tyson, with more names to be announced. Special performances include R+R=NOW, a tribute to Miles Davis "Everything's Beautiful," a tribute to Mulgrew Miller and more. Returning to the Blue Note, the residency honors his massive career and highlights not only the different eras in his musical career, but also the different parts of his community and the impact his collaborators have had on his development and style.

WHO:Robert Glasper is the leader of a new paradigm in jazz, with a career that spans musical and artistic genres, winning 3 Grammys and 6 nominations across 5 categories, as well as an Emmy for his song on Ava Duvernay's documentary "13th". Whilst his style consistently defies definition, October 2018 marks a return to one of his first jazz stomping-grounds, as he takes over the Blue Note New York with an unprecedented 4 week celebration of his musical career to date.
