Jazz @ the Underground at Temple University's Howard Gittis Student Center with the Tamir Hendelman Trio with Marco Panascia and drummer Matt Wilson starts a 5-day tour of the East coast. Thursday, Sept. 7th at 6pm BIRDLAND Jazz Club NYC The Tamir Hendelman Trio comes to New York's Birdland for one special set: Music of Arlen, Parker, Jarrett, Ravel, Jobim and Tamir Hendelman. Doors open at 5pm. Reserve your seats HERE. Friday, Sept. 8th at 8pm The trio returns to Rockport, MA for a night at the Shalin Liu Performance Center, a beautiful hall overlooking the ocean. Sunday, Sept. 10th at 4pm The trio returns to Dave Brubeck's home town to perform at: Wilton Library's Brubeck Room. We will close out our tour with one or two tips of the hat to the man himself. A reception will follow the free concert. Later in September: Tamir Hendelman will perform two nights at the 60th Monterey Jazz Festival. Friday, Sept. 15th at 9pm: Vocalist Roberta Gambarini's quartet with bassist Chuck Berghofer and drummer Joe La Barbera. Saturday, Sept. 16th at 7:30pm: The Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra with special guests, the Gerald Clayton Trio will premiere the 2017 MJF Commission, John Clayton's "Stories of a Groove: Conception, Evolution, Celebration." |
