the Dr. Donald Byrd Cultural Foundation is proud to announce that they
will be hosting a Street Re-Naming ceremony for Dr. Donald Byrd aka
Donald Byrd and the Black Byrds, Jazz Trumpeter, Band Leader,Composer
and Educator. Location: Teasdale Place & Boston Rd (bet) 163rd Street/164 St off of 3rd Ave,Bronx NY Time: 11:00am till 12:30pm A celebration reception will follow at Bobby Sanabia's Bronx Heritage Music Center Location: 1303 Nine Louis Blvd Bronx NY Time: 12:30pm till 2:00pm Many community and elected officials will be in attendance as will as the members of the original group aka the Black Byrd.
