A beautiful double 12" vinyl edition of the recording Ts'iibil Chaaltun by the Eastern jazz trio Ataraxia. Pressed on black vinyl, the album art is superb, and the sound, mastered for vinyl is exquisite. Ataraxia is led by the renown trumpet player Dennis Gonzalez on horns and percussion, along with Drew Phelps on acoustic bass and Jagath Lakpriya on tabla.
After
playing with his family jazz trio, Yells At Eels, Gonzalez decided to
put together a quiet, calm trio to express the other side of his musical
universe. Ataraxia is the result.
