Recently hailed as "one of the greatest drummers on earth" (Conrad Herwig, July 2014), Victor Lewis has been one of New York City's most in-demand jazz drummers for several years. He recently appeared at Smoke with both the Jeremy Pelt Quintet and the Cyrus Chestnut Trio, and will be playing with the George Cables trio at the Village Vanguard (8/19-24), Birdland with the Charlie Parker Birthday Tribute (8/26-30), and back at the Vanguard with the Kirk Lightsey Trio (9/23-28).

Victor's stellar performance is one of the highlights of Ed Byrne's "Two Shades of Blue" (started in 1985 and completed in 1999).  Blue Truffle is working with Ed Byrne to finally release "Two Shades of Blue" in October. See Featured Jazz Albums below for more information.
