Jazz trombonist Nils Wogram, together with colleagues Brian Charette on Hammond organ and Dejan Terzic on drums, will be showing his virtuoso skills during the "Nils Wogram _ Nostalgia" concert at the Auditorium, 5th floor of Bangkok Art and Culture Centre on March 8 at 7pm.
Presented by Goethe Institute, the concert is a rare chance to witness Nils, who is regarded as one of the great hopes of European jazz, performing live on trombone in front of Thai audience. The show is part of his concert series in Asia.
Born in Germany in 1972, Nils began studying classical music at the age of 12. He joined the Federal Jazz Orchestra of Germany in 1990 before going to study trombone and composition/music arrangement at the New School of New York City.
Besides, a tour to Latin America in 2001 and another to Russia the following year, he also played at several European concerts. Nils currently teaches at Lucerne Music Conservatory.
