The Indy Jazz Guitar Summit, Dr. David Baker, Robert Montgomery (Wes' son),Melvin Rhyne & Mingo Jones (both featured on the album), Duncan Schiedt (jazz photographer), Zev Feldman (Echoes of Indiana Avenue producer and Executive Vice President & General Manager of Resonance Records), and master of ceremonies Chuck Workman (WICR-FM).
The honorable Gregory A. Ballard (Mayor of Indianapolis) will also be making an appearance and speaking at the event.
WHAT:
In conjunction with the release of Wes Montgomery's Echoes of IndianaAvenue and the late guitarist's 89th birthday, Resonance Records announces an album release and birthday celebration event, which will pay homage to the guitarist in his hometown.
Resonance Records will be presenting a check to The American Heart Association (AHA), for the proceeds gathered through a recent eBay auction. The online auction gave away Echoes of Indiana Avenue LP #0001 of a hand-serialized limited first edition pressing of 1,000, and a sealed copy of the album in CD format (with deluxe digi pack).
