The ingenious variations of polyrhythm on "Polyritmia", the new solo CD of renowned German drummer and percussion player Christoph Haberer, take the listener by surprise. Inspired by encounters with colleagues as Peter Giger and Pierre Favre Christoph Haberer explores the phenomenon of polyrhythm especially its form in non-European cultures. Several concert tours on behalf of the German Goethe-Institut and encounters with musicians from all over the world have strongly influenced him in such a way that polyrhythm has become a regular feature of his work.
