The Egyptian band Eftekasat will hold three Sufi Jazz concerts

Known for blending different music styles, Eftekasat will put on Sufi Jazz concerts this Ramadan on 17, 18 and 26 August
The Egyptian band, Eftekasat, will hold a series of concerts under the title of Sufi Jazz starting this Wednesday, 17 August.
Eftekasat’s blending of Sufi and Jazz music started in 2007, when the Sufi chanter, Sheikh Ahmed Hassan, joined the band. In their Jordan tour in 2009 their Sufi Jazz performance was joined by the Jordanian vocalist, Ruba Sakr.
Eftekasat’s music fits comfortably in the world music genre, as its mix of western and eastern instruments allows the band to blend Latin, Arabic, Greek and Balkan tunes. It was established in 2001 and has thus far released two albums: Moulid Sidi El Latini and Dandasha.
