Chris Potter is by most considered the must influential sax player of his generation. When legendary Michael Brecker was once asked how it felt to be the worlds best sax player, he replied, "Ask Chris Potter". Not only as a musician is Chris Potter at the pinnacle of critical acclaim. As a composer and arranger his achievements are equally impressive. In this unique collaboration with famed DR Big Band, Chris Potter has composed and arranged all new material, especially for this project. Transatlantic is the result of an intense recording at The Danish Broadcasting Cooperation in Copenhagen in the winter of 2010. Together with the magnificent sound of the DR Big Band Chris Potter has created a new powerful and alluring sound of jazz.
