USA: Denny Seiwell Trio-Boomerang (2018)

Master Drummer, Denny Seiwell, best known for his work as founding member, alongside Paul McCartney, of the post Beatles band, Wings, quickly became a legend in the Jazz genre that make up the Denny Seiwell Trio. Joe Bagg, who has been called "A masterful organist" by the Los Angeles Times, and John Chiodini best known for his guitar work on Natalie Coles "Unforgettable" Tour. They look forward to bringing their new album BOOMERANG due out September 7th, 2018, to fans which will include 13 songs with a detour to Paul and Linda's tour de force, "Live & Let Die", giving it a preeminent Jazz spin that only the most skilled of players can pull off. This will make up the album that is sure to shake up the Grammy's Best Jazz Album field, when released by Quarto Valley Records.

August 29 (Wed), Noon-1 pm. Sacramento:  Dave Bass/Jeff Sanford Duo It's always a treat to play at the Noon concert series at Westminster Presbyterian Church. This time around it will just be me and reedman/flautist Jeff Sanford playing mostly standards and a few of my new tunes.  Always a treat to play w/ Jeff who knows more tunes than I've forgotten.  The concert is Noon-1 and FREE! Ft. Bragg:  Dave Bass Afro-Cuban Quintet  September 29 (Sat); two shows: 6 and 8:30             After a sold-out crowd for the Sextet version of this group sponsored by the Sacramento Jazz Co-op in June, I'll be bringing the Quintet up to one of the hippest clubs in California: North Coast Brewing Company's Sequoia Room in Ft. Bragg.  The setting, of course, is one of the most beautiful coasts in California.  The way to do this is to spend the night in Ft. Bragg enjoying the music, libations, food, and absolutely breath-taking vistas!   The group is killin'!!  Three outstanding Cuban musicians: Carlos Caro (conga/perc); Mario Soloman (timbales/perc); Ernesto Mazar Kindelan (upright bass).  Jeff Sanford (flute/clarinet/saxes) and me (piano) - - the two Ashkenazi Jews -- round things out nicely. "HYPER HARMONY" is a moment when the genre and instruments are crossed beyond the boundaries, and the waves of each human being sublimate to something out of specification by one song and performance. This work is a live recording work capturing the moment when a spectacular music world of Sinsuke Fujieda and nine musicians tranquility and explosion coexist. Saxophone player Masato Nakamura is participating in this work as a special guest. He is also famous as a saxophonist of MONDO GROSSO and SLEEP WALKER who co-starred with Pharoah Sanders and won popularity abroad. It is a work that you can not miss even if you catch the moment of collaboration with Sinsuke Fujieda. This album can be downloaded with high sound quality (48 kh 24 bit). SINSUKE FUJIEDA Musician. USA: Kathryn Sherman & Hannah Marks- Alone Together (2018)

Kathryn Sherman (voice) and Hannah Marks (double bass) began playing together in Bloomington, IN in 2015. A one-time duo gig at a pizzeria blossomed into a lasting collaboration. This project is a culmination of their friendship and musical relationship that developed through a mutual love of wine, cheese, and jazz.
