"Lo abbbiamo incrociato durante un concerto ad Alba e ci siamo innamorati (artisticamente) di lui. Classe 1986, persona umile ma matura e consapevole del proprio valore Fabio ha gia' un curriculum di tutto rispetto culminato con il premio internazionale Massimo Urbani vinto nel 2011 oltre ad essersi classificato nei primi 10 pianisti di casa nostra secondo la rivista Jazz.it. Cosi' dopo i primi cd all'interno di formazioni di notevole caratura ( menzione particolare per i Jazz Accident accompagnati dal grande Bosso ) ecco il primo lavoro da leader del nostro e mai titolo è stato piu emblematico : Introducing Myself . D'altra parte Giachino si è già imposto all'attenzione della critica per una padronanza del linguaggio jazzistico davvero notevole ma anche per un personalità in cui si ritrovano cura del fraseggio, senso del tempo, stile e attenzione al suono e alla dinamica pianistica. Negli ultimi anni si è fatto spazio nell'agorà jazzistico italiano vincendo tutti i principali premi dedicati agli esordienti: oltre il gia' citato  Massimo Urbani, il Chicco Bettinardi e il Porsche Giovani e Jazz. Nel suo recente passato ci sono lezioni pianistiche con il grande Fred Hersch, ma Zunino ha anche collezionato importanti collaborazioni con Rosario Giuliani, Gianluca Petrella, Fabrizio Bosso e ha registrato i primi dischi a proprio nome o alla testa di giovani formazioni.che siamo lieti di presentarvi nella forma "Studio Master" ossia in definizione 24bit. Montreuil - Urs Leimgruber / Jacques Demierre / Barre Phillips (Jazzwerkstatt 2012)

Two Swiss players, saxman Leimgruber and pianist Demierre, and the great American bassist Barre Phillips (now approaching his 80th birthday): Three elder statesmen of the European free jazz / improv scene present their latest trio recording live at Instants Chavirés, Montreuil, in December 2010. This is the fourth album the trio has recorded, with previous works available on Jazzwerkstatt, Psi and Victo. Outside of this particular group all three have enormous discographies. The trio's instrumentation of sax plus piano and bass mirrors that of the Giuffre, Paul Bley and Steve Swallow version that recorded Free Fall (Columbia, 1962) not a bad point of comparison, although this trio is not as restrained or quiet as that Giuffre trio. amazon.com
