In December 2010 Francois Carrier went to Russia to play and record with the Russian musicians. His courage was rewarded, for he found fantastic musical partners. One of them is a piano player Alexey Lapin who has become a household name in the catalogue of Leo Records. For this date in the snowy St. Petersburg they were joined by the Canadian drummer Michel Lambert who is Francois' regular partner. This music contains urgency, discovery, humour, stimulation, geometry, serenity, intensity, harshness, unity, technique, sharing

Guitarist JEFF AUG releases new Album, sets new World Record European tour with moe., European tour with Allan Holdsworth, and U.S. HEADLINING TOUR IN JUNE 2012

Born on Friday the 13th in WashingtonD.C. and raised in LaurelMaryland, Jeff Aug is a cool underground guitarist who has been living at the foothills of the Alps in Southern Germany for the last 14 years.  He has toured with Allan Holdsworth, Soft Machine, Johnny A., Albert Lee, and has performed shows with Jawbox, Shudder To Think, and Ice-T & Bodycount with his old band.  He's worked with John Stabb from Government Issue, has been touring and recording with Anne Clark for the last 10 years, and has been touring as a solo guitarist for the last 20 years.  Jeff can also be heard on the new Atari Teenage Riot album Is This Hyperreal? released in June 2011 (Dim Mak Records / Digital Hardcore Records).  He has also set the world record for the "most concerts performed in different countries in 24 hours" twice (2009, 2012).

It´s been 3 years, 1 world record, 2 tours , 4 European tours with Anne Clark, 1 tour as support for Soft Machine, countless solo headline performances across the U.S. and Europe (including Fusion Festival, Krach am Bach Festival, Klangbad Festival, and others), and 6 major features in guitar magazines worldwide (including Gitarist, Guitar, Guitar Player, Akustik Gitarre, Guitar Acoustic) since JEFF AUG released his last solo album Living Room Sessions in 2009.  After a gruelling year of recording and touring which included tours with Soft Machine and Johnny A., as well as a performance supporting John Kadlecik (Furthur) in the U.S., Jeff Aug released his 5th solo acoustic instrumental fingerstyle guitar album Wedding Song on Friday, 02.March 2012.

PRESS:

The lights go down and we’re ready for some hardcore Holdsworth action. And then Jeff Aug steps out, with an acoustic six-string, and hammers seven shades of shale out of it.  Support acts usually have only one purpose and that is to suck. They’re the ugly friend you go to the bar with when you’re out to score. They’re the bad stats
you give the boss before you present him with the report on how you are going to save the company. They have a place in life, a rung on the ladder, and they’d better not blow the main act out of the water.

It is a brave lead guitarist who has Jeff Aug open for him. Playing what can only be described as high-speed country funk, he shreds his way up and down the strings with breathtaking speed. He also provides his own percussion, striking the body of the instrument hard enough to sound like a bass drum. This is extreme acoustic
guitar, and extremely good, rendering the audience unusually silent. - Tony Emmerson, Prague Jazz Online

Johannes Mössinger releases "The New Jersey Session" and performs at The Historic Blairstown Theatre Friday, May 11th in Blairstown, NJ

Johannes Mössinger releases The New Jersey Session and performs at The Historic Blairstown Theatre Friday, May 11th in Blairstown, NJ.
Johannes Mössinger’s "The New Jersey Session" is, above all else, an album of depth. It ranges from traditional bebop improvisation to impressionist-influenced solo piano pieces with a startling knack for dissonances and an even more startling ability to transform those dissonances into a splendid, Debussy-inspired sound. Although Johannes Mössinger’s (piano) virtuosic ability plays a vital role in every arrangement on this album, his guests Seamus Blake (tenor sax), Boris Kozlov (bass), and Karl Latham (drums) exemplify just as much talent and ability in each of their respective instruments. Together, these world-class jazz musicians create a record of unparalleled expressive depth.
