Phew, Spring is coming and going already it seems! I've been a bit quiet lately working on some exciting things for the fall, but I wanted to invite you to my next big show next month with my 8-piece little big band, "Lady Sings, Trumpet SWINGS!" on Thursday, June 6, 2019. It'll be at The Blue Guitar in Pasadena, which is nestled inside the Arroyo Seco Golf Course there. I'm so excited to present this show as it'll be our first time in this venue, AND I get to sing with my horn section.
The band features a blend of hard swinging straight ahead jazz, bouncing bossa novas, dirty blues, jumping trad jazz, and even some modern originals, so we'll be covering a great variety of tunes, all beautifully arranged and with fresh takes on familiar songs.
In addition to getting to sing and lead this band, I get to play with these amazing fellows: Brad Black, Chad Willis, Phil Menchaca, Will Vargas, Anthony Lucca, Max Kraus, and Kevin Van Den Elzen.
