'Brode Vier' this is the creation of a band sound completely their own and based on the close interaction of strong musical characters who are informed by the compositions of Matthias Brode that root in concise melodic lines. Close interaction is what matters, be it in those parts structured jazz-rhythmically or in the free improvisations in which the melodic opens up into sounds and shades of timbre. Acting between the poles of 'in and out', these four musicians always complement each other in a subtle, intelligent and intuitive way.
