Hamzeh Yeganeh was born in Tehran. He started playing classical piano at the age of 17. His uncle, Vahid Yeganeh, was his first music teacher. he also studied with great Armenian pianist Mr. Gagik Babayan. He had a great interest in jazz and progressive rock music from an early age and the most important influence on him was the legendary keyboard player Keith Emerson, from which he derived a lot of inspirations. He studied composition at the Tehran Art University in 2003 and started playing jazz piano in a self-taught manner . At the same time he attended jazz workshops by famous Armenian jazz pianist Vahagn Hayrapetian which led him to play with some other young talented guys who were also interested in jazz
