Mychael Pollard plays with grace, style and passion. The Washington, DC native is a Pianist/Keyboardist & multi-instrumentalist who fell in love with music at a very young age. From singing in the school glee club to learning to play the flute, Mychael's foray into music also led him into mastering the piano and, at the age of 12, composing his first set of songs.
Mychael describes his music as adventurous, creative, original and spiritual. His musical style is in the vein of jazz/rock fusion. Mychael has goals to be an incredible producer, music teacher, and an innovator in music. His influences in music are an eclectic mix of Classical, R&B, Rock, Progressive Rock, Jazz Fusion & more.
Mychael has connected with fans by performing regionally and beyond. He has graced many stages, including the legendary Blues Alley, The Millennium Stage at the Kennedy Center, The Mansion at Strathmore, Twins Jazz, Bohemian Caverns, Busboys and Poets, American University, Howard University and CBGB, Crash Mansion, Seacrets in Ocean City, MD, Jammin Java, and The Sculpture Garden, just to name a few.
Mychael does solo and group performances to include bass, drums, and guitar. He performs originals and covers ranging from Top 40 Pop/Rock/R&B Hits, to Jazz and Rock classics. Mychael has also worked with label manager Ulrich Vormehr of ESC Records, contributing to the album release of Mahavishnu Re-Defined II.
Mychael describes his current project as a “plethora” of ideas from the heart. On his musical project, listeners can find songs such as Coming Home, S.Y.B, Mountains & Stars, and Cygnus part 1 & part 2.
