At Last!!! A Chance For You To Play A Direct Role In Bringing Together All The Cultures Of The World Community Through Our Own Original American Art Form. JAZZ, America's Gift To The World!

Our debut tour last year was a big success and it has grown, to our surprise and delight, into the first ever Native Jazz Workshop this year, August 13th-19th, in Sitka, Alaska at the Sheldon Jackson Campus, new home of the Sitka Fine Arts Camp.

We intend to bring Native Jazz to Sitka every year, and to attract an international audience and student body of all ages. Last year’s tour was amazing for the Quartet and the audiences, and we were all very excited by the power of the Native/Jazz fusion. That’s why we’re encouraging everyone attending the workshop to bring melodies of their own native background, and we will give instruction on arranging and composing them in the Jazz idiom. As an audience member put it, “It’s an amazing way of re-discovering your own music”.
