Osvaldo Di Dio : electric and acoustic guitars
Vincenzo Virgillito : double bass
Antonio Fusco : drums
Osvaldo Di Dio, Vincenzo Virgillito and Antonio Fusco have spent the last 10 years playing together, looking for a sound that reflects the right synthesis of their music influences. Jazz, british rock and world music have been mixed together and the result is much more than the sum of parts, is a new musical genre. We call it Post Jazz, because it keeps the spontaneity of jazz improvisation, but take it in a completely new musical dimension.
Global Warming
With minds always open towards vanguard, the trio Post Jazz Mistress is lookin' for the music of the new century. The opening act "Listen to me, my J." is the start of a journey through different ways of feel and play jazz music today. "Waltz for her" is an enchanting serenade that moves over a captivating 3/4 feel. Songs like "Silent Moving" and Beatles' "Lucy in the sky with diamonds" recreate the atmospheres typical of english rock music and put it in a jazz trio. "Greetings from Fairbanks", "The seven secret pools", "Molokai" and "Dancing on a lonely wave" are inspired by different landscapes, from Alaska to Pacific Ocean until Cuba, while "Diary of the world" is a sweet lullaby that closes this intense album.
