SWITZERLAND, Geneva: Gilad Atzmon & Rich Siegel at the Cracker Factory On March 13, 2012

An Israeli by birth and a self-described exile-by-necessity, Atzmon engages audiences around the world through his writings and music. Atzmon’s music is a blend of cultures, styles and experiences that moves from melodic to cacophonous, joyous to pained, and back again.
London-based Atzmon has performed and recorded with the likes of Robbie Williams, Sinead O’Connor, Robert Wyatt and Paul McCartney and is a veteran member of the punk band The Blockheads. Atzmon founded the Orient House Ensemble band in 2000 and has toured the world with his unique blend of Jewish jazz. He plays a mixture of world, Balkan, Arabic and Jewish music within a jazz idiom. He has produced nine albums to date. His album “Exile” was nominated the BBC Jazz Album of the Year in 2003 and Best Album of the Year (2003) by Jazz Time, USA. (FINGER LAKES TIMES)
