Pairing pays off for performers
In 2007, legendary jazz trumpet player Wynton Marsalis and country music icon Willie Nelson played a two-night stand at Lincoln Centre. Those sessions, which caused more than a few people in the industry to shake their heads when word of the unlikely pairing first leaked out, produced an extraordinary record that surprised and delighted fans of both artists.
