USA: The Either/Orchestra: November Northeast Mini-Tour

 Program features the premiere of bandleader Russ Gershon's new suite "The Collected Unconscious," funded by a Jazz New Works grant from Chamber Music America.  It's a sprawling piece inspired by Ethiopian scales and rhythms, but ranging throughout the E/O's musical universe of jazz and afro-caribbean music.

Also in the program: highlights of the music from the Haile Selassie-era Ethiopian National Theater which the E/O revived during its May 2011 tour of Ethiopia.
