At the 74th Carmel Bach Festival, it's a time of beginnings, innovations and big buzz about the new artistic team. The festival starts officially Saturday evening with an opening night gala followed by a music program dubbed "New Beginnings."
Alongside the traditional music, great jazz playing promises to attract new patrons to a special crossover evening Thursday nights, with more jazz notes heard throughout the two weeks of the venerable international event. Acclaimed jazz guest artists Stephen Prutsman and saxophonist Joe Lovano will be in residence with the festival this year.
