Cologne vocalist Barbara Barth and the Saarbrücken pianist Manuel Krass have developed a new, very individual project, oscillating between their own duo-partner material and impressively personally edited interpretations of chansons (folk and pop songs). The Water is Wide) and, of course, the interpretation of material from the Great American Songbook (Cole Porter's Everytime We Say Goodbye). With their duo production In Spheres, Barbara Barth and Manuel Krass reduce their band ambience to the minimum of an intimate and highly communicative duo cast, but they are adding a whole range of surprising electronic sound genres to their sound.
