(1)  A NEW RELEASE IS IN PROGRESS - THE SILENT WISH:

I have a new release in the works and it will be called, THE SILENT WISH.

It is an album consisting entirely of my wife, Svetlana’s, choices!

An interesting feature of the album is, because Svet is Russian, every tune she picked is in a minor key!

I hope to have the album out in the fall but, in the meantime, here is a sneak preview of the cover image!...)


(2)  ARTICLE RE: "OBLIGATO" - IN DUTCH!:

An article of mine that appeared in the January/February issue of Canadian Musician Magazine (entitled "Obligato Behind!...Obligato Upfront!...") proved to be so popular that it ended up being translated and now appears in the current issue of the Dutch flute journal, FLUIT!

For those who are interested (and I have had excellent feedback on this article, from vocalists and instrumentalists alike), I can send you a copy…in either English…or Dutch!…

(3)  PAUL DESMOND PLAYING "EMILY", LIVE:

Here is a 5-minute clip of Paul Desmond playing "Emily", live in 1975.

...There is a lot of music in this take...and it is ALL Des!...

(Please note that he is really interesting to watch, up close, too!)
