(1)  ETTA JAMES & ME - DEMO OF (i) A FLUTE, (ii) HEADJOINT, (iii) SPECIALIZED CROWN/STOPPER COMBO…AND (iv) A GREAT REPAIR JOB!…:

This is a five-minute clip in which I improvise with Etta James (singing "Whatever Gets You Through The Night") which is in a slower groove.  This clip also serves to demo the following:

(1) a vintage Wm. S. Haynes flute (made around 1970),
(2) a David Welans headjoint (#3),
(3) a Robert Bigio crown/stopper (made of zirconium), and
(4) a great repair job (by Mike Filice!)


(2)  A CLASSICAL CLIP - CLAIRE CHASE PLAYS BACH:

This is a fantastic two-and-a-half-minute clip of Clair Chase playing some J. S. Bach.  It might not convince all of the "baroque purists"…However, I am confident that Bach himself would have been immensely pleased - as well as enormously impressed - with Claire’s rendering!… :-)


(3)  A JAZZ CLIP - DEXTER GORDON PLAYS "LADY BIRD":

This is an groovy five-and-a-half-minute clip of Dexter Gordon playing "Lady Bird", live in Belgium in the mid-60’s, with a very hip European rhythm section…(Excellent musicianship…and excellent spirit!… :-)
