70 YEARS
On January 26, 2013, Leny Andrade has reached 70 years old. It's more than 50-year career as one of the precursors of bossa nova, the first female singer to explore the link between jazz and bossa. Throughout her astonishing career, Leny Andrade became the greatest jazz interpreter from Brazil, our great Jazz Diva, now with as much or more talent, energy and creativity and charm than ever.
We are proud of cooperating with part of this history. HAPPY BIRTHDAY LENY!
To remember just one some of the legendary moments of her career, we post here the concert with with Toots Thielemans in 1991 and the record session for João Nogueira "Sambabook" in 2012, where Leny Andrade shows that more than the Jazz diva, at her age she can become also a Samba Diva!
