"You're a terrific singer. I love the strength & nuance of your voice. And you're just a very appealing performer - so present and at one with your music. I loved all the different moods you hit and all the shades of affect - angry, tender, sassy, soulful, womanly, girlish, light, heavy, sorrowful, dignified, wounded to name just a few.... It takes a lot of courage to go to all of those places.!" –Pam DeColo, vocalist

Pam says it all - please join Gabrielle and her six piece band including E/O leader Russ Gershon for our Ryles debut.

The Either/Orchestra
Thursday, October 18
The Regattabar, Cambridge MA
7:30-9 pm, tickets: $20 reserve now

Special program!

The Either/Orchestra twice had the privilege of collaborating with the great Danish-Congolese saxophonist John Tchicai, who left this earth early last week.

John was an elegant and inspired player, who recorded with both John Coltrane and John Lennon among many others, a unique composer, and great person.

We will be playing two of his compositions in our set on Thuesday: Farsighted Friendship and Moonstone Journey.

The program will also include three songs by Ethio-Armenian composer Nerses Nalbandian, including the stately Africa, the original anthem of the Organization of African States.

Also on the list are two songs by Mahmoud Ahmed (see below), and one or two by Russ Gershon.

As we rehearsed, fascinating connections between music containing various combinations of Africans, European and American influences emerged.  It will be a great night of music!
