Etowah Jazz Society - Live At the Grand Theater (Valentines Day 2011) (2012)

Sit back and let this fine group of musicians and singers entertain you for a romantic evening of songs that are "All About Love." Dynamic performance of some of your favorite big band standards and vocals are captured here, LIVE.

About 30 people went to the Grand Theater in Downtown Cartersville, Georgia to put together a concert to raise money for the local Homeless Shelter. Band members, singers, dancers, and technical people were all involved because it was the right thing to do. The EJS Big Band captured that night with this LIVE recording of a concert entitled "All About Love." This CD represents ten of the seventeen tunes that we performed that night. Thousands of dollars were raised for the shelter and a portion of the profits from this CD will continue to go to support the Homeless Shelter as well. This group of semi-professional musicians offers up a great set of tunes that are "All About Love."

The Etowah Jazz Society is a Big Band which benefits the local high school music programs by providing college scholarships, tuition, and music funds for the schools and other organisations. The Etowah Jazz Society (EJS) was formed in April of 2002 as a not-for-profit organization by a group of dedicated local area musicians who love to perform a wide variety of music, ranging from Big Band-era classics to jazz standards to Broadway and pop hits.

This is our third CD from this same group. The others are "Headwaters" and a Christmas album,"What Jazz is This?"
