“the gorgeous melodies of Kizzy Crawford combine with the exquisite arrangements and production of Gwilym Simcock to produce one of the year’s most beautiful, surprising and joyous releases”Peter Quinn, Jazzwise, 4 stars Recommended

Album launch dates 10/11/12/13 May. The Birdsong project has finally been recorded with Welsh singer Kizzy Crawford and pianist Gwilym Simcock and players from Sinfonia Cymru. Birdsong / Can Yr Adar  tells a story through music inspired by Carngafallt, home to a complex ecosystem, which makes up some of the country’s rainforest territory and can be found near Powys. Thanks are due to The Hampstead Arts Festival, PRS Foundation and Sinfonia Cymru who have generously funded this recording.
The launch of the album will be on May 10th 2018 at Hampstead Arts Festival, with dates in Builth Wells on 11thCardiff on 12th and  Swansea on 13th May. on  Created in partnership with RSPB Cymru, audiences will be treated to unique sounds and visuals that come together to salute all that’s beautiful about the natural environment. This mix of instrumental, English language and Welsh language songs is one not to be missed.
Visual artist Ruby Fox, who has always felt drawn to fully immersing herself in natural environments, has also created a visual treat for audiences to feel lost in.
