Stephanie
Nakasian has been touring and recording for over 37 years, much of the
time with her late husband/jazz piano great Hod O'Brien who passed away
last november. She has 13 CDs as a leader and has co-authored two books
- one on jazz and one on singing technique. She made her singing debut
touring for two years with Jon Hendricks and Company and has appeared
as a headliner in major festivals and venues around the world including
the Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, Moscow Performing Arts Center,
Northsea Jazz Festival and multiple appearances for the THE LOS ANGELES JAZZ INSTITUTE.
She has appeared on 10 shows with the Jim Cullum Jazz Band on Public
Radio's Riverwalk series and on public television with Hod and with
Clark Terry.
