Lubatov is a duo that has been gradually developing over a number of years. The CD consists of two documents, or two suites to be precise, recorded in 2010 and 2014. Both suites are a blend of freely improvised and classical/new academic music. But LUBATOV has a 'secret weapon' which is Gareth Lubbe's sensational vocals. He not only mastered the techniques of overtone singing, he expanded the possibilities of this tradition, arriving at some sort of a freestyle version of it. Totally mesmerizing music.
