We
are thrilled to announce that two time Grammy award winner Arturo
O’Farrill will be coming to Rutgers University-Newark to give a concert
in this season’s Cultural Programming series called “Jazz With an
International Flavor” sponsored by the Institute of Jazz Studies. Mr.
O’Farrill is the son of Latin jazz musician, arranger and bandleader
Chico O'Farrill, and current pianist, trumpeter, composer, educator and
director for the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra.
He will be performing a rare solo piano concert in the Dana Room of the John Cotton Dana Library on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 2:30 PM.
