Pianist/Organist/Composer/Arranger Andrew Allen was born in Brandon, Florida in 1988. He started piano lessons at the age of 5, and started composing at the age of 7. Andrew draws inspiration from an eclectic group of musicians, including Bill Evans, Jimmy Smith, Dr. Lonnie Smith, and Miles Davis. Andrew received classical and jazz training at the University of South Florida under the direction of Chuck Owen (composition) and Jack Wilkins (performance). He has produced, recorded, and arranged four successful jazz albums under Coverville Records, and has crowd-funded over $60,000 on Kickstarter for all four albums. Andrew has been fortunate enough to be a featured artist at various sci-fi and comic book conventions across the country. Andrew has composed and arranged themes that have been featured on Sirius/XM, Clear Channel Communications, CBSi, and Discovery.tv, and continues to write for the award winning podcast and radio show “A Mediocre Time” with Tom and Dan.
