EXIB Música will be held for the first time in Bilbao – the Basque Country, on the 8th, 9th and 10th of May 2014
EXIB Música is a musical market, held annually and based in Bilbao, that will bring together the Iberoamerican musical community with European musical professionals in one place.
Iberoamerica is a region with a potential growth rate of 3.9% according to the UN, where around 700 million people live together, in the 22 countries that make up the region of Latin America. There are numerous ethnic groups and different cultures that at the present time add up to around 340 living languages, spoken by 50 million people and more than 200 musical rhythms. Around this a prolific musical industry has developed, made up of artists, technicians, labels, venues, agencies, festivals, producers, institutions, schools, markets and projects that will find a professional platform at EXIB Música where they can show their creative realities, identify opportunities and offer their musical goods and services, in an ideal setting for exchanges with Europe and the world.
EXIB Música is designed as a market or social space with the goods, services and productive factors required to be able to establish free exchanges and carry out activities that make it easier to set up an annual meeting that boosts the circulation of goods and talents, and is able to create new options for getting in touch with potential markets.
Each year, Iberoamerican music will be coming together at EXIB Música to carry out exchanges with Europe and the world.
