Oliver Lake is an American jazz saxophonist, flutist, composer and poet.
He is known mainly for his work on alto but he also performs on soprano
sax and flute. In 1977, Lake co-founded the World Saxophone Quartet
with David Murray, Julius Hemphill and Hamiet Bluiett. Oliver Lake - The
Complete Remastered Recordings on Black Saint & Soul Note features
seven albums in slipcases with original album artwork, housed in a
sturdy box. The set includes the albums Holding Together, Prophet,
Clevont Fitzhubert, Expandable Language, Edge-ing, Dedicated to Dolphy
and A New Organization.
