“Dokumenta Sonum” by Michele Rabbia is a “multi-art project” in which images, mini-audio installations, musical gestures and actions wind their way through sound plots. Sound, the main component in this work, is used as a frame on which actions are performed to continuously change it and create colors and shades, while noise, treated as part of the musical soundtrack, joins silence, giving rise to narrative structures.
Percussion, interacting with the images, is the expressive means which leads this project along research and experimental paths. A unique work, released on CAM Jazz, a DVD highlighting the many facets of a great musician. Pure improvisation, with images and sounds that merge, support each other and appear to converse with one another.
A contemporary art installation transcending genres, labels and languages, in which objects in the most varied forms, created for other uses, turn into musical instruments in the hands of Michele Rabbia.
