Dana Marcine writes from the heart, and sings, with enchanting voice, the moments that have inspired her. 'So Unexpected' references her serendipitous journey from artful singer of beloved jazz standards, to singer/songwriter with a singular perspective. The eight original songs include emotional ballads, songs of introspection, and tunes that celebrate the best of life.
Rounding out the recording, are four cover songs from the standards repertoire, newly arranged by renown pianist/producer Vinnie Martucci. The album's collaboration with stellar musicians, and their amazing solo work, completes and creates the great music experience.
