Jazz is alive and well all around the world if the surge in talented entrants to the recently-launched Made in NY Jazz Competition (www.madeinnyjazz.com) is any indication.
Dozens of jazz artists from Portugal, Russia, Germany, France, Canada, Austria, South Korea, Belarus, Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland, Brazil - and of course the United States - have submitted their jazz performance videos, hoping to win the grand prize – a guaranteed $3,000, plus an additional 10% from the growing entry pool, as well as a trip to New York City to perform in the Made in NY Jazz Festival, Spring 2014.

Since we have decided to take our competition completely online, the sky is the limit in terms of promotions, features and functions we will be able to offer our community. Online concerts, remote recording capabilities and much more surprises are planned for future as our community and program develops.
The competition also offers sponsors a unique opportunity to advertise on-site to a targeted jazz demographic. In a special effort to encourage and assist aspiring musicians to enter, for every $75 in advertising dollars a sponsor sends, the Made in NY Jazz Competition will waive an additional musician’s entry fee.
