Severino Quartet: Stepping ahead

We were really excited about not only being featured in but also opening Ronnie Scott's International Radio Show (you can listen to it HERE).

We also received a wonderful review from La Habitación del Jazz from Madrid (if your Spanish is brushed enjoy it HERE, otherwise, see attachment).
From Valencia we got enthusiastic compliments from Musica Emergente, find it HERE.

Our music is the Jazz of the XXI century, this is your chance to not miss out on quality and innovation. Get in touch with us and we can start a working relationship.

Kind regards,

Tom and Alex Severino

Severino Quartet started out in 2004. They are a Dutch group. Dutch Jazz is not well-
known in Spain, even if considering the likes of Jasper Somsen (who was recently on
tour in Spain with the "Jasper Somsen Synergy Trio"), Jack van Poll, Rita Reys, Pim
Jacobs, Herman Schoonderwalt, Pierre Courbois, Han Bennink, Tineke Postma and
many others. In Holland, there are many Jazz clubs and in the same alley you would
easily find performers of this musical style.

Tom Severino on piano, Alex Severino (his son) on guitar, carry the weight of the
quartet, very well accompanied by drummer Simon de Bruijn and bass player Lucas
Baumann. Together they make modern, original Jazz, incorporating instruments like
the Moog (its sound brought to mind very fond memories of Keith Emerson). Alex
sometimes reminds me of Bill Frisell and Pat Metheny and has a wonderful sound
that perfectly complements his father's piano.

Severino Quartet shows that it is a group wintered by a thousand performances. With
this first album, they give us a very pleasant time. They are a group we would very
much like to see in Spain, included, for instance, in the Jazz sessions organized by the
Foundation Carlos of Antwerp of Madrid.
