Grace's Song is a beautiful gospel tune with a powerful, emotional, dynamic, and soulful feel, featuring gorgeous bass and brilliant piano playing. Jumpstep jumps out at you with ferocity and passion. Dann's reworking of the modern classic "King of Pain" gives it a moody, dark, ECMish feel. Corazon is a Latin, funk tune with a twist. Dann and Taylor take burning solos. Red Rover puts a melodic spin on this technically demanding, free jazz tune with Alan Hall providing some of the most intense drumming on the CD.
