New release by jazz/world fusion artist Gino Foti on Net Dot Music label

Xenosonic Journeys, the fifth album by jazz/world fusion bassist & keyboardist Gino Foti, has just been released by Net Dot Music, Inc.

A terminal point for the previous four albums, his musical compass points in all directions of the globe, with the arrangements both charted and improvised. For this release, genres & styles like: ambient, downtempo, electronica, techno, trance, et al. are incorporated into his unique fusion of jazz, rock, and world music to navigate through exotic domains, and explore new sonic topographies.

Xenosonic Journeys includes six two-part suites, with most of the album featuring compositions with two bass guitars playing simultaneously, in various configurations, and is available in the compact disc format as a limited edition of 240 numbered Digipaks.

About Gino Foti:

His music explores the relationships between diverse musical traditions, and the dichotomy of rhythm and melody of the bass guitar, by integrating ethnic sonorities into his jazz-rock palette. If you are an avid listener of jazz fusion, world music, or related hybrids like: world jazz, world beat, and ethnic fusion - even new age - you will probably connect with the music in his catalog.
