Concert for Alumni & Friends of LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts





On January 28, 2013, some of the greatest names in jazz will come together for one incredible night of music in a benefit concert for Alumni & Friends of LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in LaGuardia's state-of-the-art, 1,100 seat concert hall.

The event will honor Justin DiCioccio, who created the first fully accredited high school jazz program in the United States at the school in 1971.  Mr. DiCioccio is internationally recognized as one of the foremost jazz educators of our time and has been inducted into the Jazz Education Hall of Fame.  He is also a world-class conductor and drummer.
This legendary benefit concert will include many of your favorite types of jazz music, including big band, Afro-latin, contemporary and klezmer.  Over 30 notable alumni and parent musicians will perform and include:
