(MAY 14, 2012) BROOKLYN -- Starting June 1, 2012, Jason Crane, host of the popular online interview show The Jazz Session, is beginning a world tour, documenting the lives of jazz musicians around North America and elsewhere. The tour begins on the East Coast of the United States, with stops in places including Delaware; Philadelphia; Washington, D.C.; Richmond (VA); Charlottesville (VA); Asheville (NC); and eventually New Orleans.

RAISING MONEY

The Jazz Session is supported by its members. It's those recurring donations that will fuel the bulk of the tour. (For more information about becoming a member, visithttp://thejazzsession.com/join.) Crane is also running a brief campaign to raise the money to buy two Greyhound bus passes to cover the first four months of travel. His goal is to raise $1,100 by May 31, 2012. Donors can choose to give $10, $20, $50, $100, $250, $500 or $1,000. There are thank-you gifts at every level, from tour postcards to CDs to books and more. MORE WAYS TO HELP

Besides donating money, Crane is looking for additional help:

* Suggest a place to go or a musician to interview.

* Host Crane on the tour.

* Host a house party (any size) so Crane can read his poetry and maybe sell a book or two.

* Suggest a venue (bookstore, performance space) in your town where Crane could do a poetry reading.
