Rodger Fox’s Wellington Jazz Orchestra featuring Alan Broadbent – Journey Home (Jayrem Records 2011)

Internationally recognised band leader Rodger Fox has once again delivered a stunning jazz album that marries the classy musicians of the Wellington Jazz Orchestra with Grammy Award winning composer, arranger and pianist Alan Broadbent.
All compositions and arrangements are by Alan Broadbent and the album is produced by Rodger Fox and (Grammy winner) Talley Sherwood. Alan Broadbent solos on Bebop & Roses, Mendocino Nights, Woody ‘N’ Me and Journey Home and Rodger Fox ‘s tasty trombone features on Love In Silent Amber, Far In (74) and Sugar Loaf Mountain. 
Wellington Jazz Orchestra members Colin Hemmingsen (Tenor Sax), Matt Hitti (Flugelhorn), Dave Lisik (Trumpet), Alex Nyman (Alto Sax), Nick Granville (Guitar), Lance Philip (Drums), Nick Tipping (Bass) and Anita Schwabe (piano) all solo on tracks such as Don’t Ask Me Why (For Irene), Chris Craft, The Long White Cloud and Sonny’s Step.
