KoSA Drum Camp 2012 celebrates its 17 year history by featuring 17 world-class artists!

Castleton, Vermont, USA – Mark your calendars July 24-29, 2012 for a drum and percussion event not to be missed. The KoSA International Percussion Workshop, Drum Camp and Festival is THE drum camp to
go to! KoSA’s unique TOTAL immersion and TOTAL percussion program gives participants the opportunity tostudy, learn and live alongside 17 world-class artists in the serene and beautiful setting of the green mountains of Vermont.

Hands-on instruction is offered in personal and ensemble formats to all ages and to all levels of experience—
from beginners to professionals. KoSA’s jam-packed program encourages participants to play within truly
diverse ensembles such as Brazilian, Classical, African, Steel Pan, Cuban, Orchestral as well as rhythm
section labs, and daily jam session. KoSA’s reputable music festival which is open to the public features the
registered participants and the stellar KoSA faculty in evening concerts.

As of press time, the KoSA team has already confirmed Lenny White (Return to Forever, Stanley Clarke &
Chick Corea), Hannah Ford (Independent), Alex Acuña (Weather Report), Arnie Lang ( NY Philharmonic),
Richie Garcia (Phil Collins), Marcus Santos (Berklee College, Paquito D’Rivera), Jim Royle (New England
Jazz Ensemble), Aldo Mazza (Repercussion), Glen Velez (Paul Winter Consort), Sergio Bellotti (Berklee
College), Dom Famularo (Independent), Jeff Salisbury (University of Vermont, Chuck Berry), John
Wittmann (Yamaha Artist Relations Director), Bob Gatzen (Independent), Mario DeCiutiis (KAT Electronics),
MBembe Bangoura (West African drummer), and the last artist will be a special surprise guest!

KoSA 17th International Percussion Workshop, Drum Camp and Festival July 24-29, 2012
The KoSA International Percussion Workshop Camp and Festival will take place at the
picturesque campus of Castleton State College, nestled in the Mountains of Vermont near the
world-famous resort destination of Killington. Course of Study: The KoSA Workshop is a hands-on intensive
percussion camp unlike any other-a TOTAL PERCUSSION experience. The course of study includes an incredibly diverse range of styles and techniques. Drumset ( from rock, jazz, Latin, funk) Brazilian, Arabic ,Frame drumming, Cuban ,Brazilian, South East Indian drumming, classical Percussion,
marimba, jazz vibraphone, timpani, snare drum, percussion ensemble, Steel drum ensemble, Marching percussion and special percussion for band director sessions are offered, as well as classes in video conferences and music technology for all levels. Daily ensembles ,jam sessions and evening concerts.
