The Camart Jazz is a French guitar duo, father and son (Camille and Arthur Lanarre) which has existed since 2006.
After releasing a debut album ("Mars Bossa") in 2006 with compositions revolving around the swing style, bossa, blues, blues swedish, the Camart Jazz released her second album in 2008 ("A Few Notes for Mary"). This second album is atribute to Marie-Helene, wife of Camille Lanarre, a seamstress by trade. In this album, the compositions revolve around the swing, jazz ballads, blues, jazz-rock. With these two albums, the approach of Camart Jazz was to run all periods of jazz (swing, bebop, ballad, jazz-rock... except the Free Jazz) by adding the blues, one of the roots of jazz.
In october 2011, the third album "Flower of Zouk" was released. We made a different approach with this album : the eight compositions are the mixture of jazz style with other styles of music. Here the details :
- "Camille" gypsy jazz and classical;
- "Flower of Youth" jazz;
- "Flower of coffee" jazz-rock and reggae ;
- "In the line age of" delta blues and jazz-rock ;
- "Ressine" ballad jazz in sonata form ;
- "Is a Symphony of colors" classical and jazz-rock ;
- "As You" funk and jazz-rock.
